"Sexy underwear, we like it too!"

However many days ago, I got the topic submission: "Sexy underwear, we like it too!"

You know what? WE DO!

It is SUPER hard to find cute undergarments as a fat chick! SC and I went to Victoria's Secret and out of all the size L panties I bought, only one pair actually fit properly and even they aren't super comfy. My (I hate to admit this) tummy will push sexy underwear down. While self-pushing-down-panties are great for sexy-fun-times, they aren't good for ANYTHING else. I can't wear them out; I can't wear them if I want to walk! It's not even that I want a thong or anything like that, I just want something cute! Something with pretty designs that I can feel attractive in. It's the same issue that I have with finding cute/sexy bras. When you're bigger, it just doesn't happen. They just don't make things that big and it's not fair- I shouldn't have to go online to find cute bras or panties. I should be able to walk into the store the same as everyone else and buy what I want.

This comes back to ALL of EVERYTHING (classy phrase, I know) being geared towards skinny people in a country that's experiencing an obesity epidemic. It's not fair to big people to make everything only for skinny people. We're people too and we want to dress sexy the same as anyone else. Just because I am a bigger woman (I AM A FAT CHICK!!!) doesn't mean that I'm not sexy and that I don't want to dress sexy on occasion. Curves are beautiful and I shouldn't have to be ashamed of my body. The clothing industry causes bigger women (hell, even small ones!) to feel shame about their bodies and it isn't right. We are ALL people and we all deserve to feel prized and amazing in our own skin without an entire industry constantly putting us down.

Stay positive, friends. They're jerks and we're beautiful.

I have to sort of disagree with this blog post... to some degree.

First off, U.S clothing isn't sized towards skinny people...it's sized towards larger people. Since U.S is significantly more obese than almost all countries in the world our sizing scale is as such. If you ever try to shop on European websites... (or H&M) You will find yourself a few sizes larger than you thought. (Which causes panic....seriously I was like a 10 in HM dress sizes...whereas my usual size is like a 5...and I was like.. O_O; WTF OMFG...oh wait...European :P ) And if you ever try shopping on an Asian website...omfg...get out the tape measure because small means like...starving African child (okay maybe a bit inappropriate and extreme...but damn near) but basically you'll need all the inch measurements of your body to buy their clothes and figure out sizes. Their large is like...our small/medium. XD So while models and clothing in photos in the U.S is like....yeah be skinny! The clothing is not. The trick with clothing is understanding your body type. There are like weird little tricks to all people's body type that either make you look good or make you look worse, fat or thin. Therefore, if you're shopping with a thinner friend and you try on the same dress...it will suit one and not the other.

However, to note that...I suppose the fact is larger people to have to find the different cuts and such to better hide/accent their attributes. For example, larger people tend to want to note the hourglass curves. Or use the looser clothing to hide more. However, I think it's wrong to assume that each person doesn't have to do things like this. For example, I have very bulky shoulders...and so certain things just make me look like she-hulk... <<; or in some cases the wrong shirt cut will make me look fat. So it's such an individual thing...

As for finding sexy underwear............. Yeah wtf... Cuter bras are like...Bs and Cs....and there's like a gazillion adorable B and C cup bras....get to Ds....and higher...it's like...really ugly wtf bras... <_<; da fuq man.

While that may be true, it doesn't change the fact that I can't walk into the stores in the mall and fit into anything. I'm plus size and almost every store I go to is geared towards our version of skinny. The XL won't fit me at all and that's my size.

For me, it has nothing to do with finding cuts that flatter, it's all about finding clothes with enough fabric to cover me and fit around me.
